Pulled beef
Ingredients:
Beef shoulder – 1,800 g
Brown sugar – 3 tbsp. spoons
Salt – 1 tbsp. spoon
Smoked paprika – 1 tbsp. spoon
Ground dried garlic – 1 teaspoon
Ground dried onion – 1 teaspoon
Ground cumin – 1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. spoons
Light beer – 350 ml
BBQ sauce – 400 ml
Clean the beef from films and excess fat and cut into 3-4 large pieces. In a small bowl, combine sugar, salt, paprika, dried garlic and onion, cumin and black pepper. Rub this mixture over the meat on all sides and leave in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 150°C. In an oven-safe frying pan, heat the vegetable oil and fry the beef until golden brown, 2-3 minutes on each side. Pour beer into the mold and cover it with a lid or foil. Bake the meat in a preheated oven for about 3 hours. Then remove the lid or foil and cook for another 1-2 hours until the beef shreds easily. Remove the meat from the pan and cool slightly. Once the meat has cooled slightly, separate it into fibers and pour over the barbecue sauce. Use pulled beef as a burger topping or serve with any side dish.
Bon appetit!
